Nithyananda KV is a Faculty member and the Chairperson of the General Management Area of the Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India (IIM Trichy). He has about 18 years of teaching, six years of consulting, and two years of industry experience. His areas of expertise are Intellectual Property Rights and its Management and Legal Aspects of Business. He teaches courses on Legal Aspects of Business, Legal Aspects of Marketing, Legal Aspects of Entrepreneurship, Legal Aspects of Technology Management, and Strategic Management of Intellectual Property Rights (SMIPR). He has been invited to teach these courses at various national and international universities in France, Singapore, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka. He has published extensively in different national and international journals of repute. He has authored three books. Three of his case studies are published in the Harvard Business School Case Repository. He has trained more than 1,000 working executives from various public and private sector entities in various areas relating to law and business. He is the recipient of the Fulbright-Nehru Fellowship and is trained in the Case Method of Teaching at the Harvard Business School. He is a commerce graduate specializing in business law. He earned his PhD from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, in the area of intellectual property rights and its management.
