Ms. Diksha Dhiman, an ITS Officer from the 2021 batch, is currently undergoing training as an Assistant Divisional Engineer Telecom at NTIPRIT in Ghaziabad. She holds a B.Tech. degree in Electronics and Communications from NIT Kurukshetra, graduating in 2019. Following her graduation, she worked as a Research Associate in the Network, Spectrum, and Licensing Division at the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) in New Delhi for two years. In her role, she contributed to the drafting of consultation papers and recommendations on several important topics, including low bit-rate satellite applications, IoT device communication technologies, ICT infrastructure and frameworks for international smart cities, and spectrum management and re-farming. She is passionate about learning emerging technologies like machine learning, big data analytics and cybersecurity. She has undergone certification courses in Advanced Cybersecurity at CDAC Pune and Big Data Analytics at IIT Roorkee. Her aim is to contribute to innovative solutions that address real-world challenges, enhance cybersecurity, and drive data-driven decision-making. Through this paper, she aims to develop a sustainable model for providing affordable smartphones to underprivileged people of the society thus bridging the digital divide. This also aligns with the sustainable development goals by promoting responsible consumption and reducing inequalities. The paper examines benefits for companies and consumers, along with challenges and proposed solutions, ultimately aiming to enhance digital inclusion.
