​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Mr. Shailendra Sagar is from 2011 batch of Indian Telecom Service. He graduated from SRMS, Bareilly, has MBA, and also did Micro Masters in Data, Economics, and Design of Policy: International Development from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has working experience in BSNL. Shri Sagar was instrumental in various key IT initiatives taken in DoT for the first time under e-governance like, Implementation of SPARROW for APAR & IPR, revamping of DOT website to be modern and dynamic, Rollout of eOffice in HQ & Field offices, KPI Dashboard, eProcurement etc, while working in DoT HQ. During his assignment in USOF wing, he has executed very first spell of R&D scheme, run through Telecom Technology development Funds. Presently he is entrusted with implementation of Amended BhartNet Program, a flagship project of Government of India (GoI) funded by Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF), with an aim to provide high speed broadband connectivity to all Gram Panchayats (GP) and to extend                                          to the villages across India.
