Akosua Asabea ANNOH

​​​Akosua Asabea ANNOH has over 13 years of work experience in both public and private sectors, 8 years of which have been in procurement and administration. Akosua obtained her master’s degree in Supply Chain Management in 2017 from the Coventry University, UK, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2007 from the University of Ghana, Legon, Accra. In addition, Akosua has undergone several training in procurement of goods, works and services, procurement fraud auditing, Procurement Act and other regulations in the procurement arena. She has since moved into the political space in service of the people of Ghana, and currently serves as the the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Abuakwa South Municipal Assembly in the Eastern region of Ghana, a position which she’s held since 2021. In this capacity, she serves as the chief representative of the Central Government in the Municipality. Prior to her appointment as MCE, Akosua held a managerial position at the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), where she led and managed various procurement duties within the policies, laws and procedures associated with procurement processes. She also worked as an administrative officer at the Ministry of Manpower, Youth and Employment, where she performed a host of administrative services for the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) programme. She also has teaching experience, having taught as a professional teacher at the Junior High School level for three years. All through her professional trajectory, Akosua has garnered some indispensable leadership and management skills. She is a people-person and an astute and persuasive communicator. Technically, Akosua has advanced knowledge in the application and implementation of procurement and administrative systems. Akosua takes keen interest in urban planning, conservation of natural resources, women empowerment, girl child education and tourism, and devotes her time and resources to these interests. She is married and lives with her family in Ghana.
