Melania Tudorica has completed her LLM in International and European Law at the University of Groningen in 2011. After her studies she worked in legal practice and soon started to combine legal practice with research. She has been working as a researcher for the Security, Technology & e-Privacy (STeP) research group at the University of Groningen since 2012, where she worked on various EU-funded projects such as EVIDENCE and E-CRIME. She is currently working on her PhD under the supervision of Prof. Dr. G.P. Mifsud Bonnici and Prof. Dr. J.A. Cannataci. Her research focusses on data protection of cross-border health data flows. The research maps health data across borders and answers whether confidentiality and data protection obligations of health data be preserved across EU borders and beyond.
