Ruben M. Sandoval received the B.S. degree in telematics engineering in 2011 and M.S. degree in telecommunication engineering in 2014 from the Universidad Politecnica de Cartagena (UPCT), Cartagena, Spain. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree at Universidad Politecnica de Cartagena. He has been a visiting researcher in the "City, University of London" and the "Cambridge University" where he looked into improving the efficiency of Long Range IoT networks with Machine Learning techniques. His research interest includes the development of efficient wireless networks, the applicability of Machine Learning to such networks and embedded systems.
