Dhananjay Kumar received his bachelor degree in Electronics and Telecommunication engineering form the Institution of Engineers (India), Calcutta in the year 1997. He was awarded a Master of Engineering (M. E.) degree in Industrial Electronic Engineering by the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in the year 1999. He also holds a Master of Technology (M. Tech.) degree in Communication Engineering from Pondicherry University through Pondicherry Engineering College, Pondicherry in the year 2001. A Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) degree was awarded to him by Anna University, Chennai in the year 2009 for his research work on high quality multimedia support in next generation multi-carrier wireless mobile networks. Currently, he is working as an associate professor and Professor-in-charge of undergraduate program in the department of Information Technology, Anna University, MIT Campus, Chennai.
Dr. Kumar and his team are developing a machine learning based system to support high-quality video streaming over internet through future wireless networks. Additionally, a group of researchers are working under his guidance for the detection and tracking of object in the live stream of video.
