Subin Shen

Subin SHEN received his Bachelor of Engineering, Master of Engineering, and Ph.D. degrees in computer application technology, specialized in computer networks, from the Southeast University (SEU), Nanjing, China. He is now a professor in the School of Computer and the School of Software at the Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications (NUPT), China.

His research interests include the requirements, capabilities, architectures, service provisioning, protocols, data mining methods, and control mechanisms in the Internet of Things, cloud computing, edge computing, next-generation networks and future networks.

He is one of the contributors of Recommendation ITU-T Y.2060/Y.4000 (2012.6), Overview of the Internet of Things, and the one of the main contributors and responsible editor of Recommendation ITU-T Y.2066/Y.4100 (2014.6), Common requirements of the Internet of Things, Recommendation ITU-T Y.2068/Y.4401 (2015.3), Functional framework and capabilities of the Internet of Things, and Recommendation ITU-T Y.2078/Y.4552 (2016.3), Application support models of the Internet of Things.

He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), China Computer Federation (CCF), and China Institute of Communications (CIC).
