Prof Bandyopadhyay is the Research Director of Social Informatics Research Group and Professor, MIS Group, Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. He is currently working on projects that involve creation of digital platforms for the under-served communities, empowering them to interact, collaborate and participate in the development of society and transforming the way they live, learn and work. He is the recipient of Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship and has also been awarded fellowship from Japan Trust International Foundation. Prof Bandyopadhyay is the co-Founder- Director of Pervcom Consulting Pvt Ltd, Kolkata.
