Dr. Fidel Liberal received his Ph.D. in Telecommunications Engineering in 2005 from the University of the Basque Country for his work in the area of holistic management of quality (both NP and QoE) in telecommunications services. He currently works as a lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering in Bilbao and cooperates in different National and International R&D projects including the coordination of GERYON European FP7 security project. His research interests include next generation networks, with a special focus on security, convergence and Quality (QoS/QoE) management. He has co-authored more than 35 conference and journal papers.
