​Started his career as R&D Engineer in the National Telecom Regulatory Authority of Egypt in 2003 where he conducted in depth technical studies on new technologies and services. Mr. Tarek Abdellatif is currently the Director of the Broadband and Access Department, where he is responsible for the strategies and plans of the broadband market.
He has a track record in issuing key regulations and plans that had a good impact in the market. He led the efforts in issuing the national broadband plan of Egypt (eMisr). He participated in several national projects such as the unified license, the third mobile license, and the closed compounds licenses. He is part of the committee responsible for issuing fourth mobile license and the 4G services in Egypt.
Mr. Tarek has a degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering, and is a certified manager from the CMI.
