AMISSAH HAMMOND James, Ghana Standards Authority

James Hammond.jpgJames Amissah Hammond is an Information Scientist who has been working since 2010 at the Ghana Standards Authority’s (National Standards Body) Standards Development Division.
James is the Technical Secretary responsible for drafting the Ghana National Standard for Standard Writers and the National Technical Secretary for Standards on conformity Assessment.
He is the National Mirror Committee Secretary for ISO/IEC JTC 1 INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY Technical Committee which is the standards development environment where experts come together to develop worldwide Information and Communication Technology (ICT) standards for business and consumer application.
James Amissah Hammond has a Bachelor’s degree in Information Studies from the University of Ghana, Legon. James has taken part in two ISO General Assemblies where decisions on International Organization for Standardization (ISO) International Standards are taken. James is a member of the ISOlutions User Group which is the group performing National, Regional and International standardization work using IT solutions hosted through ISO.
James is an Expert in Standardization and International Trade specifically with the World Trade Organization (WTO) Agreement on Technical barriers to Trade.
James also successfully coordinated the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) National Seminar on Energy Management Systems in 2013.James is also a member of the National Trade Facilitation Committee, the National SPS Committee for Ghana and has been working as the WTO/TBT National Enquiry Manager.
James Amissah Hammond is currently the International Affiliations Officer responsible for all the MoUs between Ghana Standards Authority and other International and National Standards Bodies.
James currently resides in Tema Ghana.
