Chali-Tumelo-photo.jpgHolds a BSc (Hons) in Electrical and  Electronic  Engineering, Manchester University, England, July 1985.  Professional training attended with certificates in various courses attended in International Telecommunications Training Institutes including Motorola University in Chicago and Siemens Training Institute in Pretoria in the areas of design, management, administration and operations of all Network Elements and Subsystems of a Cellular Network, other Wireless Systems and 3G Technologies.  Qualified MEIZ (Member of Engineering Institute of Zambia) and other certificates in Business Planning, Marketing, Finance and Management skills.

Currently, ITU Representative for Southern Africa since August 2012. ITU Senior Advisor for Network Management and Development for Eastern and Southern Africa for the past 11 (Eleven) years – ITU (October 2001 – August 2012). Previously, Project Manager for study and design of remote wireless communications solutions, REMOTEL, Zambia. GSM D900 Cellular Network Administration, Maintenance  and Operations Manager, ZAMCEL, Zambia. CDMA Cellular Network Systems and Radio Engineer, TELECEL, Zambia International Computers Field Services Computer Engineer, ICL, Zambia.
