
Mr. Patrick Mutimushi is at present the Director of Technology and Engineering at the Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA). He has served with the ICT regulator for over 14 years during which he has steered the cybersecurity projects such as the setting up of the Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT) and the establishment of a Forensics lab in Zambia. Mr. Mutimushi oversees the development of Technical Standards and certification of ICT equipment in the country. He is also in charge Radio frequency Spectrum matters in the current on-going digital migration, providing technical expertise on frequency planning and coordination aspects.
At international level, Mr. Mutimushi has participated in major conferences in the three sectors of the ITU and other regional conferences.
He holds an MSc in Operational Communications from the University of Coventry-UK and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Zambia. He has a number of other professional certification in management, telecom regulations, broadcasting policy among others.
