Geraldo Neto is Manager of Government Affairs at Qualcomm Incorporated. He is responsible for government related activities in Brazil and Southern Cone countries. Amongst his main activities are spectrum, regulatory and policy issues, participation in the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and CITEL, and social responsibility initiatives such as Wireless Reach.
 
Geraldo has a background in the Broadcast industry having worked at RBS TV (Globo TV affiliate), and an extensive regulatory experience acquired during his time in Anatel (Brazilian Regulatory Agency). In Anatel, he headed the Study Group in charge of the digital television channel planning, made contributions to MERCOSUR, CITEL and ITU, and worked in the new regulation for digital broadcast systems. He has a clear understanding on service regulation and frequency allocation in Brazil.
 
He holds a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), and is currently finishing his Masters in Embedded Electrical and Computer Systems at San Francisco State University (SFSU).
