ALAKIJA Luciano

Luciano_Alakija.pngLuciano Alakija received his B.E degree in Electrical Engineering from State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) – Brazil (99’ Class), followed by MSc. degree in Optical Fiber Communications and Photonic Technologies from Politecnico di Torino – Italy (2004), having developed his graduation project on photonic crystals nanotechnology at The University of Glasgow – UK. Completing his background is an Executive MBA degree at Insper in Brazil (2013) with international module carried at The University of Virginia, Darden School Of Business – USA.

He is currently responsible for the business development  and the Go to Market in Latin America for Telefónica Digital m2m Global Industry Solutions. He has been working on the machine to machine value chain since 2003. His experience ranges from applied R&D at CPqD, mobile devices development at Siemens/Cinterion/Gemalto, embedded antennas at Ethertronics and fixed-mobile networks at Siemens and Telefónica.

Born in June 5th, on the same day of the World Environment Day celebrated annually by United Nations, (http://www.unep.org/wed/) Luciano has been using this date to reinforce how technology can positively impact people lives and contribute to a more sustainable environment.
