Joanna Wrona

Joanna Wrona is a policy officer at the European Commission. She has worked for DG Connect, Converging Media and Content Unit since April 2007. She is responsible for the transposition and implementation of the AVMS Directive, in particular accessibility issues
She completed her Law Degree at the Maria Curie Sklodowska University in Lublin (Poland) and subsequently a European Law Degree at the College of Europe (Natolin). She followed doctoral research in the field of surreptitious advertising at Lancaster University (Law School). She began working in the Office for the Committee of European Integration (Warsaw) and in 2002 she was appointed Deputy Head of the Consumer Policy Unit in the Office for Competition and Consumer Protection (Warsaw), before being promoted in 2004 to Head of Unit.
