​Damir is actively involved in computer security arena since 1993.
Initially that included only incident response and coordination. At the end of 1999 he joined Cisco PSIRT and for the next 13 years he was working on product security related matters within Cisco and in the industry as a whole.
Damir is the main driver behind Vendor SIG http://first.org/vendor-sig/index.html which purpose is to facilitate dialog among product security groups from different vendors. Damir is also one of the people who dreamed up and created ICASI (Industry Consortium for Advancement of Security on the Internet, www.icasi.org).
Damir's involvement with FIRST (http://first.org) started in 1995 and is still ongoing. Currently he is liaison officer to standardization organizations (both ISO and ITU) and serves as FIRST Board Director.
He actively worked on ISO/IEC standard on vulnerability disclosure and ITU X.1500 (Cybex) Recommendation. Currently he is co-editor of ISO/IEC standard on incident response.
He was invited lecturer for MSc Information Technology Security course at Westminster University in the period 2007-2009 and the author of a book "Incident Response and Product Security" published by Cisco Press.
Damir currently works for Panasonic.
