Dr. Rhianna Mychol Neely is a passionate ambassador for a better tomorrow. At the age of 14 she signed up as a Scouts Leader, and discovered her ability to organize people and events. She coordinated camping trips, teaching children of all ages about the importance of the environment. Dr. Neely led weekly youth meetings, and served as Sunday School teacher for several years.
Dr. Neely was educated at the College of The Bahamas and Florida A&M University (FAMU). At FAMU she was the first student at the Environmental Sciences Institute (now School of the Environment) to complete a degree focused on Environmental Education. Dr. Neely was among the first to be chosen as a Doris Duke Conservation Fellow and a Clinton Global Initiative Ambassador.
She is a member of several environmental advocacy groups. Dr. Neely serves as President of the Royal Representatives Youth Group, and in her church’s music department as a key organizer for the Englerston Community Band.
Dr. Rhianna Neely believes that each generation must open doors of greater opportunity for the next generation, and this is achieved by investing time and resources in children. She is married to Mr. Samuel Murphy and they have one daughter, Shannon.
