RAJENDRA Matthew

Matt-Rajendra-Session3.jpgKnown as the Big Green Guy, Matthew is an environmentalist and has been in the ICT industry for the past 21 years. After 15 years of training over 16,000 ICT professionals around Asia on systems and network engineering, database development, application programming, security and service management, Matthew co-founded the Green Computing Initiative in 2007. With numerous industry certifications in a diverse range of technologies, he is applying his experience and knowledge in achieving his vision for the world to embark on a more sustainable approach to computing. He is also passionate about levering ICT technologies in reducing the carbon footprint of other industries. In 2013, he initiated the development of the Green Data Center Standard in Malaysia and commercialized his fluid submersion data center cooling invention.

Now Matthew is CEO of Green Data Center LLP a startup spinoff company of GCI that provides global green data center services. Moving forward, his committed key drivers towards a global low carbon economy are to prevent greenwashing to protect society, innovate green technologies, create green jobs for underserved communities and create ecopreneurs from inspired youth around the world.
