Hiroshi Chiba is the Research Manager of solution Laboratory I of Social Innovation Laboratories of Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. He received Ph.D. degrees in science from Tohoku University in 1998. From 1998 to 2009, he joined Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd., and had been engaged in research and development of hard disk drive. After he was transferred to Field Innovation Unit, Fujitsu Limited in 2009, he is currently engaged in research and development of evaluation method of regional characteristics related to environment, economy and society, and schemes of application and expansion based on regional Open Data to support urban planning in Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. since 2011.
