Panagiotis Saltsidis (
Panagiotis.Saltsidis@ericsson.com) is currently the editor of the P802.1AX-REV - Link Aggregation Revision project and is coordinating Ericsson’s standards activities within IEEE802.1. He joined Ericsson in 2001 working in Optical Networks research. Since 2002 he works in Ethernet Standardization and has been one of the main drivers and contributors on a number of L2 networking standards including Connectivity Fault Management, Provider Backbone Bridges, Shortest Path Bridging, Multiple Registration Protocol, Two-Port MAC Relay, Spanning Tree Protocols, and others. He is the editor of the IEEE 802.1Qay Provider Backbone Bridges – Traffic Engineering and holds more than 50 patents in L2 networking. He is holding a PhD in High Energy Theoretical Physics from the University of Stockholm and has been working on String Theory for ten years the last three of which were at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge, UK
