| 11:30 - 13:00 | Session 2: The other side of ICT convergence - EMF exposure and issues The proliferation of radiocommunication stations in urban and rural environments has raised public concerns regarding human exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMF). This session will provide an overview of Recommendation ITU-T K.83 and how it can be used for EMF management. This session will present some experiences from other Latin American countries.

Session 3: Issues related to EMF and the potential role of standards and policies in EMF management - Follow up actions for the country This session will address the importance of developing policies and implement international standards for EMF management and thus, the need for international coordination in this area. It will also provide an overview of ITU’s activities on human exposure to electromagnetic fields.

Session 4: How to optimize EMF in Brazil
This session explores how to optimize EMF whilst ensuring the connected devices and systems that make a city work, operate most efficiently. This session will act as a platform for discussion and will identify some possible follow up actions to be undertaken in Brazil.
