Takashi EGAWA joned NEC Corporation in 1991. As a research engineer he studied various areas in networking, in particular self-healing, QoS, and active networks. Since 2005 he participates standardization of telecommunications, in particular ITU-T SG13, and chaired Focus Group on Future Networks. He currently serves as a Rapporteur of Question 21 of SG13, and a vice-chair of Focus Group on Disaster Relief systems, Network Resilience and Recovery (FG-DR&NRR).
