SHAKRA Hoda

Hoda_Shkra.jpgFor more than six years, Eng. Hoda shakra has been an integral, innovative and strategic part of green ICT  field in Egypt. She is the Supervisor of Green ICT program at  Ministry of Communications and Information Technology since 2009. She is an associate Rapporteur of Q13 on “Environmental impact reduction including e-waste” of International Telecommunications Union-Standardization department- study group 5 on ”ICT and Environment”. As well she is a member of National advisory committee on Hazardous waste management.

Eng. shakra participated in developing a Egypt Green ICT strategy 2020. As well Eng. Shakra worked in a close cooperation with some regional and international entities for developing some studies focus on achieving sustainable management of E-waste in Egypt such as: guidelines on “Preparatory Information for the Implementation of an Electronic Waste Pilot Project in Egypt”, Egypt Chapter on E-waste, BUILDING INCENTIVE BASED INCLUSIVE Extended Producer Responsibility(EPR) SYSTEM IN EGYPT“, and Guidelines for developing a sustainable e-waste management system”.

Eng. Shakra has a Bachelor degree in Engineering-Computer system departments since 2004. She is also joined Nile university in Egypt since 2011 as a Master degree student in Management of Technology track. She is working now on the Thesis which is focusing in  developing a Model for Sustainable management in Egypt.

Eng. Shakra worked as Lecturer assistant in Faculty of Engineering from 2004 till 2009.
