Seth Newberry has over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry with successful Operational, Technical and Business Development roles.
Presently, Seth is the General Manager of the Open Mobile Alliance, where he directs the operations of one of the most recognized worldwide specification setting bodies for mobile data applications. OMA is comprised of companies from Europe, Asia, and the Americas and has developed a portfolio of software specifications that support a broad range of standardized mobile applications. Prior to his role at OMA, Seth was Vice President of Research for RHK, Inc. (now OVUM) a market research firm that develops telecoms industry research.
Seth has extensive experience in systems integration, network operations and field support, having been the division General Manager for Ascom Network Services. Prior to Ascom, he ran the operations and partner development functions for Wildfire Communications, a speech-based unified messaging platform developer serving mobile operators, and for Octel Communications (now owned by Lucent).
Seth holds a B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of Arizona.
