Let´s stop and re-think about the concept: what is a “Smart and Sustainable City”? It is not so obvious as we can guess in the very first moment. It is all about technology? It is all about big data, about the so-called Internet of things? Let´s talk about public spaces, livable neighborhood, decent housing, life sharing and…PEOPLE. From the national Government point of view, this implies: good regulation on urban planning and refurbishment, accurate taxation, social support, public subsidies and private partnership.
