PASCALE Antonio

Antonio Pascale, MD, is Adjunct Professor of Clinical Toxicology at the Department of Toxicology, School of Medicine, University of the Republic, in Montevideo, Uruguay. The Department of Toxicology is WHO Collaborating Centre on Human Environmental Toxicology. During three years (2010-2013), as a medical toxicologist at the Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit in Montevideo, Uruguay, he primarily focused on assessing exposure of children to environmental chemicals and treating acute and chronic complications related to environmental toxicants exposure in children, particularly lead and pesticides poisoning.As a faculty member his academic responsibilities include teaching environmental toxicology to graduate students as well as toxicology and paediatric fellows. He also collaborated with the WHO Training Module about E-Waste as a reviewer and he is involved in educational programs about children environmental health to the community.His current research interests focus on the health consequences of ewaste problem in Uruguay, identifying high risk scenarios and assessing children exposure at home and surroundings.
