The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is organizing a workshop on “Global interoperability for trust management of digital identity for humans and agents” taking place on 2 June 2026, from 09h00-18h00 hours CEST at ITU Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
The workshop will be organized alongside the meeting of ITU-T StudyGroup 17, Security, 1-10 June 2026 (see TSB Collective 8/17).
Objectives
The objectives of this workshop will be to:
- Identify key security and governance challenges specific to trust management of Humans digital identities and Agentic AI digital identities;
- Facilitate cross-stakeholder consensus on core requirements for trust management standardization spanning humans and AI agents;
- Investigate actionable recommendations and consolidated insights to advance standardization work in the field.
Target audienceParticipation is free of charge and open to all interested stakeholders including ITU Member States, Sector Members, Associates and Academic Institutions and to any individual from a country that is a member of ITU and who wishes to contribute to the work.
