Kostas Katsalis ETSI ISG NFV IFA Vice Chair
Dr. Kostas Katsalis is a Solutions Architect at DOCOMO Communications Lab in Munich, Germany. He is a senior standardization specialist actively involved in several standards organizations, including ETSI ISG NFV, 3GPP SA5. Within ETSI ISG NFV, he focuses on the activities of the IFA and EVE working groups and currently serves as Vice-Chair of the IFA Working Group. He has spent several years conducting research in both industry and academia, specializing in wireless network virtualization, SDN/NFV, future networking technologies, and network optimization and management. He has also contributed to the open-source community. Dr. Katsalis regularly serves as a reviewer for several top-tier conferences and journals in the field of computer networking.

Kangchan Lee SG13 Vice-chair, WP2/13 Chair
Dr. Kangchan Lee, ITU-T SG13 Vice-chair, WP2/13 Chair, is Director of the Strategic Standards Research Section at ETRI and a Principal Researcher in the Protocol Engineering Center. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Chungnam National University, Korea. Dr. Lee has over two decades of experience in standardization, particularly in cloud computing, big data, IoT, AI/ML, and next-generation web technologies. He currently serves as Chair of the ITU-T JCA-AI/ML, Chair of ITU-T SG13 WP2, and Vice-chair of ITU-T SG13. Dr. Lee has authored over 20 ITU-T Recommendations and brings deep technical expertise, strategic leadership, and a strong record of international collaboration in fields of cloud computing.

Horace Li Director of OpenInfra Asia, OpenInfra Foundation
Horace Li is currently working as Director of OpenInfra Asia to accelerate China OpenStack ecosystem growing up, and Open Infrastructure focused open source projects landing in China. Previously, Horace worked in Intel Open Source Technology Center for 13 years, as technical account manager to support open source community projects engagement in China, including both Cloud Computing, DataCenter and Client Computing business.

Kazunori Tanikawa Chair, ITU-T SG13
Mr. Kazunori Tanikawa is a Managing Expert working for Innovation Promotion Department of National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) and is dedicating the standardization activities in ITU-T. Mr. Tanikawa started ITU-T standardization activities in 2007 in FG IPTV, and continuously participated in IPTV-GSI and SG16, he contributed to make progress of work items on IPTV terminal devices and service specifications. Q14/16 “Digital signage systems and services” was initiated in 2013, and Mr. Tanikawa managed standardization activities issuing H.780 series on digital signage for eight years. Since 2017, Mr. Tanikawa has joined SG13 in earnest, especially on the topics of SDN/NFV technology, and he was a co-rapporteur of Q21/13 “Networks beyond IMT-2020: Network softwarization”. Mr. Tanikawa was nominated and appointed as SG13 chair in WTSA-20, March 2022, and continues his leadership for SG13. Mr. Tanikawa is a chairman of Expert Group ITU-T issues of Asia-Pacific Telecommunity Program (ASTAP). As for his personal record, Mr. Tanikawa received B.E. and M.E. Degrees in mechanical engineering from Waseda University in Japan in 1985 and 1987 respectively.

Haitao Xia ETSI ISG NFV IFA Chair
Haitao Xia, has more than 25 years of telecom experience. He is the chief standardization engineer from Huawei and responsible for promoting NFV telco cloud area standardization. He is now serving for ETSI ISG NFV as IFA WG chair, as well as Feature Prime on architectural support for NFV evolution

Hammad Zafar NFV Rapporteur
Hammad Zafar works as a Senior Standardization Engineer at NEC Laboratories Europe. He is a Feature Prime for Physical Infrastructure Management (PIM) feature in NFV and has also contributed to several others, such as the energy efficiency feature “Green NFV”.

Qianying Zhao
Deputy Director of the Future Network Research Center, China Telecom Research Institute
Zhao Qianying is pursuing a doctoral degree at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, while serving as a senior researcher at the Future Network Research Center of China Telecom Research Institute. She received her Master’s degree in Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, Pisa, Italy, in 2018. Her research focuses on computing power networks, intelligent computing networks, and future networks. Currently, her standardization activities are mainly carried out in ITU-T SG11 and ITU-T SG13.
