Introduction The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Workshop on "Machine Learning in communication networks”
to be held in Beijing, China on 18 March 2020 was cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus disesase and its impact on travel restrictions. The workshop was replaced by the
Joint ITU-ETSI workshop on “Machine Learning in communication networks” held on 16 March 2020 in Sophia Antipolis, France. The workshop was kindly hosted by ETSI at 650 Route des Lucioles, 06560 Valbonne, Sophia Antipolis. The workshop was followed by the 8th meeting of the
ITU-T Focus Group on Machine Learning for Future Networks including 5G (FG-ML5G) held from 17-18 March 2020 at the same venue.
Target audience
This event was open and free of charge, however seats were limited. Interested parties in Machine Learning (ML) and 5G with particular emphasis on local participation and representatives of the leading communication companies were invited to attend.
