Piotr Stryszowski has been an Economist in the Directorate for Science, Technology and Industry (DSTI) of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) since 2006. He has been involved in numerous projects in the area of innovation, intellectual property rights and the information economy during his tenure at the OECD. This includes research on the economic impact of counterfeiting and piracy, piracy of digital content, innovation in the software industry, knowledge markets and networks, and on copyrights in the age of the Internet. It also includes presenting results to a wide range of audiences including policymakers, business representatives and academics.
Mr. Stryszowski graduated with a Ph.D. in Economics from Tilburg University (the Netherlands). His academic research concerns the economic aspects of innovation, growth theory, intellectual property rights and labour economics.
