Drudeisha Madhub

In august 2007, Mrs Madhub has joined the Prime Minister's Office as Data Protection Commissioner and is a member of the Francophone Association of Data Protection Commissioners and GPEN Network. Prior to that, she joined the Attorney-General's Office in August 2001 and served for six and a half years as Senior State Counsel. Mrs. Madhub was awarded the British Chevening Scholarship in 2003 and concluded an LL.M in International Human Rights at Essex University, Colchester. In March 2011, Mrs. Madhub was appointed data protection and human rights expert by Interpol and since then, a member of the Commission for the Control of Interpol's Files. Mrs. Madhub completed her LL.B at the University of Mauritius in 1998 and was also the Vice-President of the Student Union of the University at that time. Mrs. Madhub then took part in the 1999 bar exams of the Council of Legal Education in Mauritius. Mrs Madhub is also a long standing member of the UN Global Pulse Data Privacy Advisory Group. She has published various articles in international journals and guidelines on data protection.​
