Summary:
|
The rapid advancement of smart grids and the widespread deployment of IoT devices—such as smart meters, sensors, and smart appliances—have led to a substantial increase in the generation of electricity data, including consumption, generation, and grid status information. The effective utilization of this data offers significant benefits, including optimized grid operations, enhanced energy efficiency, regulatory compliance and reporting, informed infrastructure planning and investment, and improved customer services. However, the collection, storage, and sharing of electricity data present considerable challenges, particularly concerning privacy and security. This Recommendation introduces the framework, requirements, and use cases for electricity data sharing system, with the objective of establishing a robust mechanism for the secure and privacy-preserving exchange of electricity data.
