Summary:
|
Soil is vitally important for planetary health and human well-being, serving as the foundation for ecological balance, food security, and sustainable development. By leveraging advanced information and communication technologies (ICTs) such as the Internet of Things (IoT), digital twins, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), spatio-temporal big data and Artificial Intelligence (AI), the efficiency and effectiveness of soil environmental management can be significantly enhanced. This Recommendation provides an overview of the IoT-based smart soil environmental management system (SSEMS). Furthermore, it specifies the device requirements, the network requirements, as well as the service and application support requirements for the SSEMS. Finally, this Recommendation describes application scenarios in Appendix.
