Summary: As a fundamental platform supporting smart city services and applications, the smart city platform (SCP) introduced in [ITU-T Y.4201] is designed to provide the means for enabling new smart city applications to be rapidly created, deployed, extended, and managed. Applications and services interacting with smart city platforms may introduce unexpected security threats. In addition, the use of new technologies and the complexity of interactions may introduce new potential security threats to applications and services on the smart city platform. Accordingly, to mitigate the security threats introduced by insecure applications and services on smart city platforms and to satisfy their security requirements, appropriate security measures can be applied. This Recommendation provides a description of the security threats and requirements for application and service on smart city platform and provides methods for security protection of application and service on smart city platform. This Recommendation describes the security threats and requirements for applications and services on smart city platforms and provides methods for their security protection.
