Summary:
|
The IoT can be viewed as a global infrastructure for the information society, enabling advanced services by interconnecting (physical and virtual) things based on, existing and evolving, interoperable information and communication technologies. Such a global infrastructure may be enabled by federation of different communication technologies such as RFID, ZigBee, 6LoWPAN, ETSI M2M, IEEE, 3GPP LTE and LTE-A, and TIA SDC. Conformance and interoperability will be involved within not only each technology domain but integrated domains with different technologies. Local conformance and interoperability within a communication domain by the same technology have been taken into account at a relevant SDO and should be out of scope. But global conformance and interoperability among different technology domains should be taken into account. Services with specific requirements (such as e-Helath) may impose particular implications on testing procedures and shall be accounted.
