Summary: Recommendation L.91is about microduct technology and its use, because of the broad interests of this installation technique used by telecommunication installation companies and operators for the deployment of Fibre To The X (home, cabinet, building, etc) topic. L.91 describes the solutions for outdoor installation of new generation telecommunication ducts, called microducts, in existing pipes (telcos, power, street lighting, etc.) considered full with traditional technologies. In this way local operator can lay new cables and ducts without the need of digging and road restoration, optimizing the space in existing infrastructure. The required solution of microducts may differ according to the dimension and the condition of existing pipe and the dimension of microcable that is installed.
