Summary:
|
This recommendation will present two major methods for the coexistence of multiple FIN generations on a common IFDN: Coexistence element (CE) and integrated combo MFU. The general reference diagram of the coexistence architecture will be described, with a variety of specific coexistence elements including CEx, etc.
The corresponding coexistence wavelength plan, IFDN optical budget and optical interface parameters will be specified.
The corresponding operation and management capabilities will be given, for example, the identification of SFU type for MFU, the unified power management and QoS related functions.
The practical deployment models, splitting ratio and smooth migration guidance will be given as well.
