Summary:

This Recommendation defines the data management interface for educational learning tools aimed at enhancing information and communication technology and digital capacity building.
The educational learning tool provides an integrated development environment capable of programming by utilizing a diverse range of physical computing devices and AI models. It supports multiple types of physical computing devices and enables the simultaneous operation of multiple devices. Furthermore, users can train AI models natively within the environment and immediately apply them to their programming workflows. The coding environment of the tool reflects the intuitive usability of graphical block-based languages such as scratch, while preserving the structural characteristics of text-based scripting languages like python, thereby enabling highly intuitive coding. It operates via a streaming mechanism that sequentially transmits code blocks to the designated device. This Recommendation can serve as a comprehensive guideline for educational institutions, corporate training managers, and educational platform developers to construct and operate interoperable, secure, and scalable educational practical training environments. Any treatment of teaching and learning data in this Recommendation require informed consent from the learner (or, where the learner is a minor, from a parent or legal guardian), and that data be limited to the purpose for which consent was given, with protective measures such as de-identification, pseudonymisation or anonymisation applied where personal data is processed.
The Intelligent Edge Computing (IEC) architecture defines a well-defined cloud infrastructure as a signal delivery architecture and reference point. This Recommendation defines a data management interface for IEC-based educational learning tools.
