With the explosive growth of AI-driven applications and edge computing, enterprise demand for inference services has surged. Building and maintaining private computing power pools is costly and difficult, making the leasing of operators' computing resources an increasingly attractive alternative. Consequently, inference services are extending from local area networks to wide-area transport, requiring the transport network to provide fine-grained flow control, lossless forwarding, and user-level path orchestration based on service-specific SLA requirements. This document specifies the signalling requirements for enhancing the virtualized Broadband Network Gateway (vBNG) to support traffic control and path management for inference services. It defines a framework in which the vBNG control plane interacts with AAA servers, CPN orchestrators, and network controllers to enable dynamic path orchestration, user-level network slicing, adaptive congestion control, and end-to-end slice quality monitoring. The resulting signalling mechanisms ensure low latency, high reliability, and resource isolation for cloud-edge collaborative inference tasks.
