Distributed cloud has emerged as a critical paradigm for enabling cloud services with low latency, real-time processing, and efficient resource utilization by distributing cloud capabilities to the edge of the network. By distributing cloud capabilities, organizations can deliver enhanced user experiences, optimize network bandwidth, and maintain service continuity across geographically dispersed locations while reducing the operational complexity associated with managing heterogeneous cloud environments.
This draft Recommendation specifies test suite for functional testing of distributed cloud, covering the six function groups defined in ITU‑T Y.3553.
