Summary:
|
IMT-2030 refers to systems, networks, services and related technologies that provide enhanced capabilities as described in [ITU-R M.2160-0]. ITU-T starts the research and standardization work on IMT-2030 networks in Study Period 2025-2028. SG13 has started research on IMT-2030 with six technical reports, including the terms, requirements, framework, FMSC considerations, and more; SG11 has also started research “Signalling and Protocol Consideration on IMT-2030 networks”. To enable further development of IMT-2030 networks protocol and interfaces, align with the progress with SG13, it is necessary to study the considerations on the protocol and interfaces of FMSC for IMT-2030, analyze the driving forces and challenges, and specify the potential signalling architecture. This technical report contributes to the development of the protocol and interfaces of FMSC which are suitable and applicable for IMT-2030 networks, and is market valuable for network operators, service providers, and end users.
