Summary:
|
With the rapid development and deployments of large-scale computing clusters, the energy consumption and carbon emissions brought by computing infrastructure have become critical challenges. In this context, Computing power and Electric power Coordination (CEC) has emerged as a key trend to balance computing demand, power supply stability, energy efficiency, and low-carbon operations.
Currently, from the industry practice aspect, research and exploration on CEC have been widely conducted on both the computing side and the power grid side, aiming to achieve collaborated scheduling, energy saving, and green operation between computing infrastructure and power systems.
However, a unified and standardized set of monitoring parameters is still missing, the monitoring for CEC is needed.
Therefore, this Recommendation aims to specify the monitoring parameters and methodologies in future networks for CEC. It will provide a unified monitoring foundation for cross-domain collaboration, performance evaluation, scheduling optimization, and low-carbon operation to support deployment of CEC.
