Summary:
|
This technical report discusses an overlay transport-layer framework that delivers high-reliability and ultra-low-latency multimedia services across existing IP/MPLS backbones without requiring Segment Routing or RSVP-TE. By shifting traffic-engineering control into a lightweight overlay, edge nodes can instantiate paired, strictly diverse label-switched paths and perform seamless switchover with no frame loss. The report provides empirical data, architectural guidelines, media transport overlayed network architecture, operational procedures & mechanisms, and field deployment case study.
