This Recommendation defines the technical specification for the Advanced Digital Content Protection (ADCP) system for digital multimedia interfaces. It is Part 2 of a multi-part deliverable, complementing the security requirements established in J.1045(ex. J.ADCP-REQ).
The purpose of this Recommendation is to provide a unified, interoperable, and technically secure specification to safeguard premium UHD content (such as 8K, high frame rate, and HDR) during interface transmission. This document specifies the exact functional architecture, cryptographic protocols for authentication and key agreement, rights control enforcement, content encryption/decryption mechanisms, and the trust architecture.
