Current identity management solutions face challenges such as redundant authentication, limited interoperability, difficulties in identity traceability, and low service collaboration efficiency across multimedia applications. To address these challenges, this draft Recommendation specifies the framework and requirements for distributed ledger technology supporting decentralized identity services for multimedia applications. It defines the service framework, functional roles and operational procedures to support decentralized identity services across multimedia applications involving audio, video, text, graphics, images, and data.
