Summary:

In-vehicle navigation is key to ensuring safe vehicle operation and serves as the foundation for many location-based services. As mobile entities, vehicles operate in various service scenarios, including highways, urban roads, closed parks, and underground garages. Different technical requirements for navigation are defined for each scenario. The development and application of navigation technologies have significantly influenced the evolution of vehicle capabilities. Therefore, to ensure accurate service delivery under all vehicle operating conditions, vehicles need to maintain continuity and accuracy of indoor and outdoor navigation.
To enhance navigation service capabilities and fulfill the demand for fully continuous and reliable navigation under all operating conditions, requirements for navigation services based on vehicle gateway shall be established. These requirements shall specify the functional requirements and enable interaction among the vehicle, communication network, road infrastructure, and platform to provide the vehicle with relevant information for assisted positioning and navigation, thereby improving the user travel experience and providing a unified technical basis for the development, design, and application of seamless indoor-outdoor in-vehicle navigation services.
