Summary:
|
ITU-T Y.3081 specifies the self-controlled identity (SCid), which satisfies the user-centric/entity-centric requirements of the emerging advanced network services. The self-controlled identity includes the identifiers and associated explanatory profiles. The SCid identifier needs to be resolved to an SCid-associated explanatory profile to obtain the necessary metadata. Although ITU-T Y.3087 has lightly mentioned about the general functional requirements of the identity discovery and resolution function, detailed requirements and functional architecture are missing.
Therefore, this new work item proposes to study the service and functional requirements as well as architecture and procedures for the resolution of self-controlled identity based on blockchain.
