Summary:
|
Computing power and Electric power Coordination (CEC), which aims to establish a dynamic, real-time and optimizable closed-loop relationship among computing scheduling, network transmission, and power supply, has become an important issue. Communication networks serve as the essential link connecting computing and power, and digital twin network (DTN) is the core enabling technology for achieving cross-domain awareness, simulation, and control.
To enable CEC, DTN needs to support a set of enhanced capabilities that go beyond single-domain network twinning. Such capabilities are not yet addressed by existing ITU-T Y.3090-series Recommendations.
Therefore, this new draft Recommendation introduces a new orchestration layer and related functions, and specifies key requirements, to enhance the current DTN architecture to support CEC.
